报告摘要:Electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction driven by renewable energy is promising in mitigating, potentially reversing, the overwhelming anthropogenic climate change and environmental degradation. In this talk, I will introduce our research progress in the electrocatalyst design and device configuration for the carbon dioxide reduction toward formic acid. We hope this topic will stimulate more profound research efforts and investment in carbon neutral society.

报告人简介:Dr. Bao Yu Xia is currently a full professor in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China. He received his Ph.D. degree in Materials Science at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) in 2010. He worked at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) from 2011 to 2016. His research interests are in the service and failure of functional nanomaterials in sustainable energy and environment technologies including fuel cells, batteries and carbon dioxide conversion. He as the first/corresponding author has published peer-reviewed papers in journals such as Science, Nature Energy, and Nature Communications in the past five years.
